Hi,
I guess this is a partial rant and a partial cry for help.
I live on Holmbury Grove and have done for 6 years now.
I am a tenant and this seems to be such a bad thing in the eyes of my Residents Association. I am not allowed a parking permit as these are only for owner occupiers and i have a garage anyway (which was very helpfully told to me just before i went on holiday and my mother in law couldnt park whilst flat sitting, easyjet alas would not allow our car as excess baggage).
I'm not allowed to vote on any issues as i am a tenant, and neither is my landlady as she rents the flat out.
The newsletters are just plain rude, as are the signs in our hallways. A constant use of BOLD RED, we are expected to have guests leave at 11pm by all accounts! can they really tell me when people should leave if they are not making noise?
washing machines must be off by 10pm, even though i have no downstairs neighbours.
The chairwoman is just so aggressive and rude when you call her, she seems to thrive on conflict and you cannot speak reasonably to her.
my partner was a builder and as such go reasonably dirty, although i made him take his boots off on the way in he wore them from the flat one morning and of course left mud. i had full intention of clearing this up when i got home from work (i only saw it as i went out the door) but by then i had a very rude note through the door demanding this was done.
they constantly demand, without even talking! it's just not reasonable! if someone had actually spoken to me, i would have explained, apologised and dealt with it.
I am currently looking to purchase somewhere, and to be honest this whole thing puts me off living on forestdale at all!
i've contacted the FRA before but they say they have no power to help me! how can tenants do anything when we are treated like 2nd class citizens.
