I've had no landline/broadband since last Sunday. BT say it is affecting many homes and they predict it might not be fixed until next Tuesday - that's 9 days of no telephone/internet. Their initial service was appalling - you couldn't speak to a human being, then they kept promising to come and fix it but then postponed it (twice already). Anyone affected, ensure you ask for compensation. A chap named Karl Brigge from BT is dealing with the problem if you need to speak to someone.

BT have told me they are trying to fix this over the weekend "as so many people have been affected."

All resolved now. BT weaved a load of lies and never turned up - on four occasions. It had nothing to dow ith a fault on Courtwood Lane. Do not trust BT Open Reach - they are merely third-party contractors. And customer "services" seem to be based abroad and don't understand English. They use a scriupt so they're thrown if you ask them anything not on the script, like , "Can I speak to my case manager, please?" Utter rubbish. Utterly exasperated. The fault took 5 mins to repair. It took 8 days for someone to come round. What service... Compensation offered? £19 (hardly covers the day I had to take off work, all the fuel etc etc. What a joke).
