Does anybody think it would be a good idea if a very casual meeting were to be arranged between the FRA committee and the residents (who have taken membership of course) of Forestale?
This could include the FRA telling us all a bit more about what they do and people could ask questions. Yes there was an annual meeting to which nobody went, but I think it would be a good idea if people had another opportunity to touch base.
There seems to be very little community spirit (around my area anyway) and people just look the other way when passing each other on the pathways.

Hello Tanya, Thank you for your suggestions; we have an executive committee meeting scheduled for next week and I'll see if it is possible for us to arrange an informal meeting of members in the few months. Best regards Martin

How about having a monthly date similar to the Councillor's surgery where some FRA committee members would be available in the Forum for FRA members and others to talk to on an informal basis? Those present could also then talk amongst each other in a more informal atmosphere. I think we need less committees, resolutions, minutes and such and more of an opportunity to toss ideas about and see which ones strike a light.

Yes, something like that would be good on a fairly regular basis. Perhaps this sort of get together would spark more interest.
When I lived up in Osward and cought the bus down to Addington Village, people were often discussing how "the area has gone down" and that "it is not as nice as it used to be around here". One of my current neighbours has even gone as far as to say that the FRA are only interested in the community centre.
It really sounds as though it is the long term residents on the estate who have lost hope and that the new residents either don't care or feel that there is not much opportunity to get involved.
